Immediately on the left is the Auction \u00a0Mart, a building which possesses considerable architectural\u00a0pretensions. It was erected in the year 1808-9, for the public\u00a0sale of all sorts of Property, and has since had a literary\u00a0Institution engrafted un the original Establishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 At some\u00a0distance, on the same aide, is the principal Avenue, through\u00a0Capel Court, to the Stock Exchange; and still further, the\u00a0Church of St. Bartholomew, built in the year 1670. On\u00a0the right, the eastern front of the Bank of England, which\u00a0has been lately repaired and much improved, occupies the\u00a0entire space to the corner of Threadneedle Street: the\u00a0entrance to the Rotunda. where stockjobbers, &amp;c. carry on\u00a0their dealings in British Securities, being about the centre\u00a0of the range, and nearly opposite the Stock Exchange. The\u00a0View is terminated by a portion of the north elevation of\u00a0the Royal Exchange, over which the new Tower and Cupola,\u00a0surmounting the south front of the same Building, and\u00a0finished in 1824, is conspicuous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0What a scene of even\u00a0species of Traffic\u2014of the exchange of every denomination of\u00a0Commodity, and every representative of Wealth\u2014beneath a\u00a0single glance of eye!
