1815 ca. Travelling inkwell. Made from gilt brass, pewter and glass. Patented Perryian Filter Inkstand manufactured by James Perry and Company, London. This inkwell was used by Captain (later Lieutenant-Colonel) William Tyrwhitt Drake, Royal Regiment of Horse Guards, during his active service in the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815).
